Northfolk has been selling website templates since 2013. Not as a side offer between custom projects. Not as the thing we added when client work got exhausting.
There’s no roster of custom clients underneath this quietly paying the bills while we experiment with digital products. Template sales are the entire system.
So everything inside Revolving Revenue is something we are currently doing, currently testing, and occasionally currently getting wrong (iykyk). When a launch flops, we find out the same week you would.
The template market we entered in 2013 is not the market we’re selling in today. We’ve rebuilt how we price, how we launch and how we market more than once, and we’ll do it again before the year is out.
We’d love to tell you we have it all figured out. But you can't when its forever evolving.

Two designers, two states, no shared office since 2013.
Rachel is in Colorado with her husband and four girls. Sam is in Alaska with hers and two boys. We have never once shared an office (unfortunately!), which is either a testament to the business model or to our text message habits.
We started for the least glamorous reason there is. Neither of us could take a 9-5 job. Sam was raising her first son while her husband was constantly deployed, with no family nearby. Rachel was newly single with three girls, working client projects until 2am, and the whole plan was work more hours.
So we started Northfolk. Two designers, selling $150 templates, nearly three hundred times on auto-pilot. You do the math.
